Accessing Mail Settings

Navigate to Admin Dashboard > Site Settings > Mail Settings.

Mail Drivers

Next Hour supports three mail drivers:

• SMTP – Standard mail transfer protocol
• Mail – PHP native mail function
• Sendmail – Sendmail binary

SMTP Configuration

When using SMTP, configure the port and encryption:

• SSL: Port 465
• TLS: Port 587

Gmail SMTP Setup

To use Gmail as your SMTP provider:

1. Enable 2-Step Verification on your Google account
2. Generate an App Password (Security > App Passwords)
3. Use the following SMTP settings:
   • Host: smtp.gmail.com
   • Port: 465
   • Encryption: TLS

Common Issues

Warning: Do not include spaces in the “From Name” field. Spaces can cause delivery failures.

If you encounter a 500 error related to email, it often indicates missing or incorrect mail configuration in the .env file.
